EDMONTON (Canada) - Carolina (PUR) were undeniable in pool play, finishing perfect on Day 1 of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Edmonton on August 2.

CAROLINA (PUR)
The Puerto Rican side were on a mission in Edmonton, taking on stiff competition and emerging without a scratch out of pool play. They tipped off the action with a dominant result against Serbian powerhouses in Ub. Antonio Ralat notched a joint team-high 8 points alongside Bryan Gonzalez who was aggressive all game, earning points for his side in numerous ways.
He drilled the dagger at the end to earn his side a crucial 22 - 14 win against the in-form Serbians. They took on a plucky Phoenix side next who attempted to keep up with Carolina, all before Leandro Allende and Bryan Gonzalez took over, putting up 7 points each as they put away their opposition 21 - 13 to round off pool play in dominant fashion. Momentum is on their side heading into finals action on Day two.
The other teams to finish perfect in pool play were Amsterdam (NED), Chongming (CHN) and Miami (USA).

WORTHY DE JONG (Amsterdam)
Hype Worthy delivered yet again for Amsterdam as they sealed their spot into the quarter-final with a spotless run in pool play. They took on a dynamic Washington DC side in their opening game, a game that saw de Jong put up 9 points in a 21 - 10 victory.
He followed it up with yet another clutch showing against a dangerous Partizan team. He put up 7 points along with numerous decisive plays that edged the nail-biting 20 - 19 game in their favor.
The Dutchman is firing on all cylinders as Amsterdam look to earn their first stop win of the season in Edmonton.
