    Canada - Rautins to coach Canadian team

    Leo Rautins will coach the national men's basketball team for a third straight season, as Canada Basketball firmed up its staff yesterday. Rautins' senior squad will play for a spot in the 2008 Beijing Olympics at the FIBA Americas Olympic qualifying tournament this summer in Las Vegas.

    Leo Rautins will coach the national men's basketball team for a third straight season, as Canada Basketball firmed up its staff yesterday.

    Rautins' senior squad will play for a spot in the 2008 Beijing Olympics at the FIBA Americas Olympic qualifying tournament this summer in Las Vegas.

    Rautins will be joined on the bench by Dave Smart, who coached the Carleton Ravens to their fifth consecutive CIS title this past March, plus Michael Malone and Wayne Yearwood.

    Malone, the son of former Raptors coach Brendan Malone, is an assistant coach with the Cleveland Cavaliers, while Yearwood was a longtime player for the national men's team.
