    Canada - NEDA girls in Paris

    Canada Basketball's Hamilton-based National Elite Development Academy girls' team travelled to Paris on the weekend to begin an eight-day tour of France that includes training and a series of exhibition games. One of the NEDA program's brightest stars is 6-foot-3 forward Natalie Achonwa of Guelph. The 17-year-old was the MVP of last year's under-17 national championships and a gold medallist as part of Ontario's provincial team.

    One of the NEDA program's brightest stars is 6-foot-3 forward Natalie Achonwa of Guelph. The 17-year-old was the MVP of last year's under-17 national championships and a gold medallist as part of Ontario's provincial team.

    She was also selected to Canada's national junior team that earned a silver medal at the 2008 FIBA Americas Championships in Argentina.

    The tour includes games today against France Sport Institute's under-18 team and tomorrow and Thursday against France's under-18 national team.
