SPOKANE (NCAA) - Canada is buzzing about a point guard and his initials are not S.N., but rather K.P.

Kevin Pangos, 18, made the most of his first start for the Gonzaga Bulldogs on November 15 by drilling nine three-balls from 13 attempts and scoring 33 points in an 89-81 victory over Washington State on November 15

Four days later, he had 12 points, three assists, three steals and a block in a win over the University of Hawaii.

The efforts led to the freshman being named West Coast Conference player of the week.

While the most famous basketball player in the history of Canada is Steve Nash, Pangos is turning plenty of heads with the Zags.

He played for Canada this summer at the FIBA U19 World Championship in Latvia.

Pangos describes himself as "Just a baller from Canada trying to turn my dreams into reality...Freshman PG at Gonzaga University" on his @Kpangos twitter page.

Those dreams, it seems, are quickly turning into reality.
