    CAN – Tryouts for Senior Men’s National Team announced

    Toronto (FIBA Americas Championship) - Canada Basketball has announced the rosters for the Senior Men’s National Team tryouts taking place this weekend. The tryouts will be held at Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario from Friday, June 15 to Monday, June 18.

    Toronto (FIBA Americas Championship) - Canada Basketball  announced the rosters for the Senior Men’s National Team tryouts. The tryouts took place at the Durham College in Oshawa, Ontario from Friday, June 15 to Monday, June 18.


    The Senior Men’s first competition will take place at the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from July 25 to July 29. They will then play an exhibition tournament in Argentina (Super 4 Tournament) and an exhibition tournament in Puerto Rico (Tuto Marchand Cup). Their final competition will be in Las Vegas, USA at the FIBA Americas Championship 2007 from August 22 to September 2.


    In the list, there are 19 players with prior National Team experience. Other athletes with current professional commitments will be joining the team later in the summer.
    Some of the names included are: Jermaine Anderson, David Arsenault, Ross Bekkering, Theo Davis, Sean Danison, Vlad Kuljanin, Kevin Messiah, among others.


    "I am excited and eager to get started with this group of players,” said Senior Men’s National Team Head Coach, Leo Rautins. “We have some new faces to look at, and a core of players returning to the team, that will have the opportunity to gain experience while the veteran players fulfill their professional commitments."
