TORONTO (FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Women) - Canada have trimmed their squad to just 16 players as they step up their preparations for the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament (OQT) for Women.
The tournament, where five places for the London Games are at stake, tips off on 25 June in Ankara, Turkey.
The Canadians will play China in this week's Jack Donohue International Classic (16-18 May).
In Ankara, Allison McNeill's charges will take on France and Mali in Group D and a victory against either of those sides will put them into a Quarter-Final against Croatia, Korea or Mozambique.
A victory in the Quarter-Final would clinch a spot in London.
A loss would not eliminate Canada from London, however.
All of the Quarter-Final losers will compete for the fifth and final qualifying spot.
