    LAS VEGAS (2007 FIBA Americas Championship) - Behind 32 points from Leandro Barbosa, Brazil knocked off Uruguay by the count of 96-62 in each team’s Second Round Finale at the 2007 FIBA Americas Championship.

    With the win, Brazil clinched the No. 3 seed in the semifinals and will play either Argentina or the United States in the next round.

    Uruguay shot just 4-for-22 from three-point range on an afternoon when Brazil connected on 7-for-13 triples and shot 66 percent from the field overall (40-for-61).

    Esteban Batista continued his impressive play, posting 17 points and 10 rebounds in a losing effort for Uruguay.

    Notes: Uruguay completed tournament play with an overall mark of 3-5.
