BARUERI (2009 FIBA Americas Championship for Women) - After having a weekend off, the Brazilian women's national team returns to practice in Barueri. The team coached by Paulo Bassul receives Argentina at Juegos de Desafío Eletrobrás to be played at Polideportivo José Correa from September 12-14. There is also a scheduled friendly series against Canada starting on September 17.
Center Jucimara Dantas is satisfied with the final stage of preparation.
"The team is well prepared technically and physically. The climate is also the best possible. We are following the instructions of a nutritionist, two doctors, trainers and two coaches. The team is very focused in the training and friendly games," said the veteran center.
On September 18 the team will depart for Cuiaba where they will keep playing against Canada and at the same time arrive at the city where the 2009 FIBA Americas Championship for Women will be played.
