    BRA – Brazil arrives with Nene

    SAN JUAN (Tuto Marchand Cup) – Just a few minutes ago, the Brazilean Basketball Confederation confirmed the participation of its star player, Mayber Hilario (better known as “Nene”), in the “Tuto” Marchand Cup, which is going to be held from August 16-18, at the Jose Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in Puerto Rico.

    With this addition, Team Brazil will present a roster integrated by the NBA stars Leandro Barbosa (Phoenix), Tiago Splitter (), and Nene (Denver). Alongside them, another group of players with international experience will be also making the trip: Marcelo Huertas (Spain), Guilherme Giovannoni (Italy), João Paulo Batista (Lithuania), amongst others. Team Brazil departs today, on the AA 906 from Sao Paolo, at 21:50 (Brasilia’s time).

    Brazil will face Argentina on the 16, Puerto Rico on the 17, and, finally, Canada on the 18.

    These four teams will also be present in the FIBA Americas Championship 2007, in Las Vegas, Nevada, starting August 22 to September 2.
