    COTONOU (FIBA Africa Champions Cup Qualifiers) - Nigeria sole representative at the FIBA Africa Champions Cup for Men qualifiers, Niger Potters basketball club Tuesday recorded its third straight win with a 70-61 point’s victory over host ASPAC basketball club of Republic of Benin.

    Potters who had earlier recorded two wins over Abidjan Basket Club 69-64 points last Saturday, returned on Sunday to post a 93-64 points win over Renaissance basketball club of Republic of Benin, got off to good start in first quarter against Cotonou-based ASPAC by 20-06 points.

    The home team fought back brilliantly in the second quarter with a 21-12 points win but that is all they could show in the match largely dominated by the Nigerians who went on to pick the third and last quarters 23-21 and 15-13 respectively for a cumulative score-line of 70-61 points.

    Potters inspirational guard Abubakar Usman led the floor with 24 points 6 assists, 4 rebounds and 2 steals just as teammate Sati Paul added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals to seal victory for their side whose two remaining games is against Oilers of Liberia and Swallows from Togo.
