As for Franca, last night, it lost 75-70 against San Lorenzo in a very tight match, which resulted in the Argentinian team qualifying for the playoffs. Tonight’s game, at the “Temple of Rock”, will be fundamental defining Group C’s second position.

Group D has one of the teams that hasn’t lost a match in the tournament: Flamengo, the competition’s current runner-up. Gustavo de Conti’s team painfully defeated Instituto de Córdoba 78-77, thanks to two free throws from Olivinha and an incredible block from Rafa Mineiro. This is the way they played and won their two matches, since the one against Instituto from the first window was postponed. Tonight, they’ll seek to maintain its momentum against the locals, Minas Tenis, and move closer to the next phase.
The locals, led by Leonardo Costa, must win to reach the final window more comfortably, which will define which two teams move forward. These last matches will take place in the stadium Ángel Sandrín, in Argentina, therefore Minas will seek to have some advantage in Group D. It should be noted that, in the first window, in Rio de Janeiro, the encounter between Brazilian teams went to Flamengo 79-69.
