The battle for the trophy commences on October 7

    The tenth season of the Basketball Champions League will feature 32 clubs from 18 countries.

    MIES (Switzerland) - The Basketball Champions League Season X lineup was completed with the conclusion of the Qualification Round Tournaments in Samokov, Bulgaria on Thursday.

    A total of 24 teams fought through three tournaments for the final three spots in the Regular Season.

    The champions of Slovakia, Patrioti Levice, advanced through the Champions Path, a bracket featuring eight domestic champions not represented in the Regular Season.

    They defeated the Bakken Bears 100-98 in double overtime thanks to a buzzer-beating three-pointer by Will Carius in the Final, to claim their spot in the Regular Season Group F, alongside AEK BC, VEF Riga and NHSZ-Szolnoki Olajbanyasz.

    With this win, Slovakia became the 30th different country to be represented in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season.

    Making their return to the Basketball Champions League Regular Season are Bursaspor Basketbol. The Turkish team defeated Windrose Giants Antwerp 77-58 in the Final of Tournament 2, moving to Regular Season Group C, where Joventut Badalona, Hapoel Netanel Holon and Cholet Basket await.

    Bursaspor Basketbol's only previous BCL appearance came in 2023-24, when they were eliminated in the closest BCL group to date, finishing fourth in a four-way tie at 3-3.

    Finally, Tournament 3 was won by Elan Chalon. The French team defeated UCAM Murcia 96-88, meaning they join Regular Season Group B with ALBA BERLIN, ERA Nymburk and BC Sabah.

    Chalon played the Regular Season once before, in 2017-18, falling just short of a spot in the Round of 16.

    The Basketball Champions League Season X tips off on October 7. The 32 teams are split across eight groups of four, with the group winners moving straight to the Round of 16.

    The second-placed and third-placed teams advance to the best-of-three Play-In series in January, while the fourth team from each Regular Season group will be eliminated.

    The Round of 16 will feature four groups of four teams, top two advancing to the Quarter-Finals. The season concludes with a Final Four tournament in May.
