The attention of the continent is turning towards Cyprus, Finland, Latvia and Poland as FIBA EuroBasket 2025 tips off on Wednesday.

MIES (Switzerland) - The clubs are in full preparation mode by now, getting ready for the upcoming Season X of the Basketball Champions League. However, plenty of BCL players are already in game-mode, putting on jerseys somewhat different to we're used to.

The tip-off of FIBA EuroBasket 2025 is just around the corner. The group phase will be played in Cyprus, Finland, Latvia and Poland, while the elimination rounds are taking place in an arena which was already used for BCL games: VEF Riga's Xiaomi Arena in Latvia's capital.

The reigning BCL champions will also be at the event, Unicaja's Aleksander Balcerowski playing for Poland, and Yankuba Sima - now a member of Valencia - ready to help Spain under both rims.

Meanwhile, Kendrick Perry did retire from international duties with Montenegro last season, but the country replaced him with another familiar BCL player, Kyle Allman Jr, who averaged 14 points for both VEF Riga and Darussafaka across his two BCL seasons.

The strongest BCL connection is inside the Czechia locker room, as four ERA Nymburk players made the final cut for coach Diego Ocampo.
