Strasbourg, Murcia, Bonn, Jerusalem and AEK with players on Team of the Month

MIES (Switzerland) - February was full of action all over the world as the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qualifiers came to an end, but we haven't forgotten about our monthly awards. The Basketball Champions League Team of the Month for February had five players from five different teams with winning records.

Marcus Keene powered SIG Strasbourg to two wins in three games and it could've been three, but they lost the third game on a buzzer beater in Jerusalem. Keene had 21 points per game in February, with 9.5 assists also to his name.

Thaddus McFadden took us back to 2020 for a month. The Final 8 MVP from three years ago went off for 21.5 points on 59 percent shooting from the field, as UCAM Murcia climbed to a 2-1 record, inching closer to the Quarter-Finals of the BCL.

Telekom Baskets Bonn climbed to 3-0 in the Round of 16 in the Basketball Champions League, and this time around, it wasn't all about TJ Shorts. Tyson Ward was their player of the month, getting 18 points and 7.5 rebounds per game, making Bonn one of only two teams with a 3-0 record.

Levi Randolph was the reason SIG Strasbourg did not end the month at 3-0. His buzzer beater for the win pushed Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem to a 2-1 record, and Randolph had 17.5 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He is one of three different players to hit game winners for Jerusalem this season.

The middle belongs to Akil Mitchell. AEK's big guy delivered 20 points and 11 rebounds per game for an average efficiency rating of 24.5 during February, continuing his impressive season. Mitchell has scored in double figures in every single BCL game this season and is averaging 17.4 points and 9.5 rebounds, also dishing out 2.4 assists per game for good measure.

One of these five players will also be named the MVP of the Month for February.
