    Star Lineup revealed, Bortolani Best Young Player

    On the eve of the Basketball Champions League Final 4 in Bilbao, Spain, a couple of season prizes were awarded.

    BILBAO (Spain) - On the eve of the Basketball Champions League Final in Bilbao, Spain, a couple of season prizes were awarded.

    Besides the MVP of the Season, the Best Young Player, the Coach of the Season, the Star Lineup and the Star Lineup Second Team awards were announced today, before the final day of the 2021-22 Basketball Champions League season.

    The Star Lineup was chosen according to a public vote which was equally distributed: 1/3 of the votes from the fans, 1/3 of the votes from media representatives, and 1/3 of the votes from the coaches of the 32 participating teams.

    The following awards were announced:

    Best Young Player: Giordano Bortolani (Nutribullet Treviso), 54% of the votes.
    2nd place: Sadik Emir Kabaca (Galatasaray Nef), 17% of the votes.
    3rd place: Mikael Jantunen (Filou Oostende), 12% of the votes.

    Coach of the Season: Pedro Martinez (BAXI Manresa), 36% of the votes.
    2nd place: John Patrick (MHP RIESEN Ludwigsburg), 24% of the votes.
    3rd place: Mihai Silvasan (U-BT Cluj-Napoca), 13% of the votes.

    In addition, the Star Lineup Second Team has been also announced, and is formed by Marcelinho Huertas (Lenovo Tenerife), Joe Thomasson (BAXI Manresa), DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell (Galatasaray Nef), Elijah Stewart (U-BT Cluj-Napoca), and Ivan Buva (Rytas Vilnius).
