    JDA Dijon win tiebreak over Lavrio Megabolt; Unicaja control destiny to win Group C

    By defeating Lavrio Megabolt in a 73-49 rout, JDA Dijon now own the tiebreak over them and have also cleared the path for Unicaja to win Group C.

    DIJON (France) - By defeating Lavrio Megabolt in a 73-49 rout, JDA Dijon now own the tiebreak over them and have also cleared the path for Unicaja to win Group C.

    The door is now open for Unicaja, as they will win the group with a win over Nizhny Novgorod tomorrow.

    Lavrio's 49 points tonight were the fewest scored this season in the Basketball Champions League.

    Turning point: Dijon dominated the game from the opening tip and led wire-to-wire, stretching their lead to as many as 24 points in the fourth quarter.

    Game heroes: David Holston (18 points, 3 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals) and Rashard Kelly (13 points, 10 rebounds, 2 steals) led the way for Dijon.

    Holston shot 7-of-14 from the field and 4-of-10 from three-point and finished with a game-high efficiency rating of 24.

    Meanwhile, Kelly shot 5-of-12 from the field and 11 of his points came in the first quarter.

    Stats don't lie: Lavrio turned the ball over 22 times which led to 28 points for Dijon, while Lavrio only scored seven points from 11 Dijon turnovers.

    Dijon's 13 steals were tied for the most in a BCL game this season (four other teams have done it) and they are also the first team to combine for more than 12 steals and more than 4 blocks in a single game this season.

    Dijon capitalized on second chance points, outscoring Lavrio 14-4, as Abdoulaye Loum (10 points) and Toni Katic (4 points) combined for all14 points.

    Lavrio was outscored by 15 points in three-point shooting, only going 3-of-17 from deep compared to 8-of-31 for Dijon.

    Bottom line: Dijon are now 3-2 and currently sit in first place in Group C due to the extra participation point ahead of Unicaja who play tomorrow.

    The French club will travel to face Nizhny Novgorod in their last group play game on December 21.

    Lavrio are now 2-3 and currently sit in third place in the group.

    The Greek club will host Unicaja in their last group play game on December 21.
