    Star Lineup revealed, Makoundou Best Young Player

    On the eve of the Basketball Champions League Final 8 debut in Nizhny Novogorod, Russia, a couple of season prizes were awarded.

    NIZHNY NOVGOROD (Russia) - On the eve of the Basketball Champions League Final 8 debut in Nizhny Novogorod, Russia, a couple of season prizes were awarded.

    Besides the MVP of the Season that will be announced on Friday, the Best Young Player, the Coach of the Season, the Star Lineup and the Star Lineup Second Team awards were announced today, before the start of the pinnacle event of the 2020-21 Basketball Champions League season.

    The Star Lineup was chosen according to a public vote which was equally distributed: 1/3 of the votes from the fans, 1/3 of the votes from media representatives, and 1/3 of the votes from the coaches of the 32 participating teams.

    The following awards were announced:

    Best Young Player: Yoan Makoundou (Cholet), 49% of the votes.
    2nd place: Keye Van der Vuurst de Vries (Filou Oostende), 26% of the votes.
    3rd place: Dalibor Ilic (Igokea), 15% of the votes.

    Coach of the Season: Zoran Lukic (Nizhny Novgorod), 26% of the votes.
    2nd place: Txus Vidorreta (Lenovo Tenerife), 21% of the votes.
    3rd place: Stefanos Dedas (Hapoel Unet-Credit Holon), 17% of the votes.

    In addition, the Star Lineup Second Team has been also announced, and is formed by Dylan Ennis (Casademont Zaragoza), Darius Thompson (Happy Casa Brindisi), Jasiel Rivero (Hereda San Pablo Burgos), Omar Prewitt (ERA Nymburk), and Michale Kyser (VEF Riga).
