BEIJING (2015 FIBA 3x3 World Tour) - He's a rapper, he's a piano teacher but Beijing big man Malcolm Battles proved he was first and foremost a great basketball player on Day 1 at the Beijing Masters.

BEIJING (2015 FIBA 3x3 World Tour) - He's a rapper, he's a piano teacher but Beijing big man Malcolm Battles proved he was first and foremost a great basketball player on Day 1 at the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Beijing Masters on 15 August 2015.

The US-born Battles felt no pressure on his World Tour debut scoring no less than 17 points (!) against Jakarta. Despite Team Doha's double and triple teams, the 2.06m tallied another 6 points in his second match, allowing him to take a comfortable win in the scoring charts.

His countryman Chris Reaves (Wukesong) was the top scorer at the Beijing Masters last year and seems ready to take another scoring crown as he already contributed 18 points. Next on the scoring lists are three players: former number one 3x3 player in the world Dusan Domovic Bulut (Novi Sad Al Wahda), Tanguy Alban (Doha) and another World Tour newcomer Jeevanantham Pandi (Bangalore).
