    Follow-up: 30 November 2012 Following FIBA’s intervention, the club KK Cibona Zagreb reached a settlement agreement with the claimant. As a result, FIBA lifted the ban on registration of new players which was imposed on the club KK Cibona Zagreb on 10 December 2012.

    In view of the fact that the club KK Cibona Zagreb continues to be in breach of its obligation to honour the BAT award, FIBA imposed a ban on registration of new players on KK Cibona Zagreb.

    In view of the fact that the club KK Cibona Zagreb continues to be in breach of its obligation to honour the BAT award, FIBA imposed a ban on registration of new players on KK Cibona Zagreb.

    Summary of the case:
    The Croatian player Goran Vrbanc filed a claim against the Croatian club KK Cibona Zagreb for outstanding salaries. The player requested full payment of his salary for the 2009-2010 season, submitting that the Respondent's failure to pay was in breach of the contract. In its answer, the club acknowledged its liability and justified the non-payment with its current financial situation. The Arbitrator decided to uphold the claim in its entirety.
