    Follow-up : 8 August 2012
Following FIBA's intervention, the club Zalgiris Kaunas honoured the BAT award and paid the adjudicated amounts to the claimant.

    Summary of the case:
The Greek coach Elias Kantzouris filed a claim against the Lithuanian club Zalgiris Kaunas for outstanding salaries. The coach requested full payment of his salary for the 2010-2011 season, submitting that the club had prematurely terminated the agreement (as assistant coach) without just cause and had failed to make any salary payments thereafter. In its answer, the club argued that the coach had failed to fulfil his obligations, inter alia by arriving late and by not ensuring adequate preparation of the team during the absence of the head coach. The Arbitrator decided to uphold the claim in its entirety.
