LAUSANNE (Switzerland) – Day 1 of the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Lausanne 2026 delivered plenty of excitement as the pool phase concluded and the Quarter-Final matchups were locked in at the Place de la Navigation.
World Tour Amsterdam winners Baskets Bonn impressed on Day 1 with two wins in pool play against Ulaanbaatar MMC Energy (21-19) and Utrecht (20-17), with a dramatic finish against the Mongolians in overtime, which Fabian Giessmann clinched from the 2-point line.
There were plenty of surprises in Pool A as well, with Liman being eliminated after defeats against Valencia Basket (20-19) and Cibona Ph. Classic (16-21). The Croatians would advance after beating Valencia Basket in the last game of the day.
Raudondvaris Hoptrans didn't give its rivals a chance in Pool C and dominated from the start, beating Vienna (21-16) and Shibuya (21-19). The Austrians would advance after beating the Japanese team 21-17.
Last but not least, Pool B broke the hearts of the local fans, as Lausanne was eliminated in overtime against Bordeaux (17-15), who advanced in second place. Antwerp topped the pool with wins against both teams.
