ASTANA (Kazakhstan) -  Australia are the next team to qualify for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 from the Asian Qualifiers.

The undefeated Boomers confirmed their qualification with an overwhelming over Kazakhstan.

Australia have played in all but one of the past 13 World Cups. Their appearance next year will be their 5th consecutive World Cup run. The Boomers made it to the Semi-Finals for the first time ever in 2019, making the 4th place result their best ever to date in the competition. Can they make it all the way to the Final next year?

Australia now join New Zealand and Lebanon as well as co-hosts Philippines and Japan as teams from Asia and Oceania in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.

As a result of these qualifications, two World Cup qualification spot are left in Group F.
