Germany's showdown with Serbia in Frankfurt sold out
HAGEN (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Asian Qualifiers) - German basketball officials have announced that Germany’s home game against Serbia in the up-coming European Qualifiers window is sold out.
HAGEN (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Asian Qualifiers) - The German Basketball Federation (DBB) has confirmed that the national men's team's game against Serbia on Friday in Frankfurt has sold out.
Germany will have a full house crowd of 5,002 supporters at the Fraport Arena when they take on Serbia in an important battle of 2-0 teams in Group G of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 European Qualifiers.
Henrik Rodl's team won their first two games in the first window in November, beating Georgia at home 79-70 in Chemnitz in front of about 5,000 spectators and winning over Austria 90-49 on the road.
Rodl said of the game being played in front of a capacity crowd: "Both teams deserve very much to play in a sold out arena. It is always a great feeling to play with the national team on your home court and even better to have so many fans behind. I hope this will be a big push for us."
Germany's second game in the February window will see them play at Georgia on February 25.
