The North Americans had a variant offensive that included Frank Mason with 16 points, Chasson Randle added 15 points and Derrick White with 14. The Uruguay team had Joaquín Rodríguez with 11 points, while Kiril Wachsmann and Sebastian Izaguirre collaborated with 9 points each.
With this victory, United States remains in the top positions of Group E with a 6-1 record, while Uruguay dropped some spots in the standings after falling to a 4-3 record in the first window of the Second Round.

The North Americans widely dominated the first quarter with a great defense and 28 points in the offensive against only 8 of the visiting team. Uruguay could only score 1/6 in triples, while the locals added 3 of 4.
In the second quarter, the Americans added the same amount as in the first 10 minutes of the game, with Frank Mason as top scorer with 11 points, and Hatila Passos leading the Uruguayans with 8 points. The first half ended 56-24.

At the end of the third quarter, the difference increased to 84-40 (28-16) with a variant offensive between Derrick White, Dwayne Bacon and Henry Ellenson.
The last quarter was even in the beginning despite the big difference in the scoreboard, Uruguay could only score 17 points against the 30 from the USA.

The team led by Jeff Van Gundy shot for a 52 percent from three-point land (10/19), 60.8 percent of field (45/74), 35/55 in two-point shooting (63.6), capturing 45 rebounds (34 defensive) and distributed 30 assists.
USA will now travel to Panama City to face Panama at the Coliseo Roberto Duran on September 17. Meanwhile, the Uruguayans will host Mexico at the Palacio Peñarol on the same day.
