SAO PABLO (FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers) - Brazil National Team coach Aleksandar Petrovic announced his 13-player preliminary list for Brazil's match-ups against Canada and the Virgin Islands during the Second Round of the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 Americas Qualifiers.
Brazil will first travel to Laval, to face Canada on September 13 at the Place Bell. After that game, the Brazilians will travel to Goiania, where they will play against the Virgin Islands on September 16 at the Goiania Arena.

"We will start this qualifying window with a very complicated game against Canada, which is the strongest team in the group, they will also play at home and with their full team. After that tough game, we will play against the Virgin Islands and we need to win that game at home to continue to fight for our goals, the expectation is to make two big games and fight for positive results," Petrovic said in a statement to the CBB.

"This window is very important, because it can mark another step towards the qualification to the World Cup next year," commented point guard Marcelinho Huertas.
Brazil will leave for Canadian lands on September 7, where it will complete its preparation for the fourth qualifying window to the FIBA Basketball World Cup.
