SAN JUAN ( FIBA Americas U16 Championship) - The International Basketball Federation in the Americas has announced that the Argentinian city of Bahia Blanca will host the 2015 FIBA Americas U16 Championship.

The tournament will be staged 10-14 June with Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, the United States and Venezuela the teams involved.

The draw for the event will be held in the coming months, with teams to be divided into two groups that will play a first round of round-robin within the group.

The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Semi-Finals and also guarantee themselves places at the 2016 FIBA U17 World Championship.

In the last edition of the FIBA Americas U16 Championship held in Montevideo, Uruguay in 2013, the United States  continued its dominance by going undefeated in five games to win the title for a third straight time.
