PERTH (NBL) - Shawn Redhage picked the right time to have his best game of the season for the Perth Wildcats.

The Australia international poured in 32 points to lead Perth past the Townsville Crocodiles, 92-73, a result that secured top spot in the minor premiership for the club for the first time since 1995 and earned Redhage the National Basketball League’s Player of the Week for Round 20.

By finishing first, Perth will have home-court advantage throughout the NBL Play-offs.

Redhage, who was on the Boomers’ Olympic team in Beijing and will contend for a spot in their roster for the FIBA World Championship in Turkey, was the first Perth player to win the weekly MVP award this season.

Perth will host Game 1 in the best-of-three NBL Semi-Final series with Gold Coast Blaze on Thursday night.
