SYDNEY (WNBL) - Officially, it's called the Sydney University Sports and Aquatic Centre. Unofficially, it's Trish's Court.
Three-time Olympian Trish Fallon shot a perfect 7-for-7 from the field with 4 assists, 2 steals, 1 rebound and zero turnovers to help the GET Syney Uni Flames send the winless Perth Lynx packing 97-72 in the defencejobs Women's National Basketball League (WNBL) on Sunday.
Fallon tip-toed a retirement tightrope before starting the game for the students and cruised through 20 minutes and 27 seconds of work, surprising no one in the near 1000-strong crowd.
Except for Fallon herself, who is a notoriously hard marker.
"I thought I'd probably be a little bit worse.
"I need to improve in many areas, but I wasn't too bad in all of them, so it wasn't a bad start."
Natalie Porter dominated for Sydney Uni and put her hand up for back-to-back Player of the Week honours with 23 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 blocks and 1 steal.
Carly Wilson scored 24 points with 7 rebounds to lead Perth, capping a solid weekend following a 31 point, 9 rebound, 3 assist performance against Townsville on Saturday.
The victory safeguards Sydney Uni's undefeated record and marks their 11th straight win going back to last season's heroic run.
"I think we showed some really good signs, but then we got a bit lairy there for a while," said Flames head coach Karen Dalton.
"I'm pretty happy with the way we're going.
"We have still got a lot of players to fit into the group, we're still developing as a group and it's going to take them a while I think."
Sydney Uni led 19-10 after one quarter, 47-34 at the half, 76-52 after three-quarters, and fell just short of the century at the final buzzer for a comfortable 25 point win.
Perth now faces the unenviable task of a weekend double header in the nation's capital, while the Flames will look to extend their winning ways this Friday night at home against Dandenong.
