PERTH (Olympics) - Australia brushed aside fellow Olympic side China in a three-game friendly series in Perth.

The YouYi Games were played in Perth and the Aussies completed a sweep on Wednesday with a 78-55 triumph at the Challenge Stadium.

China's coach Bob Donewald has been ejected from games before and he had to take an early shower in his team's latest defeat after collecting a couple of quick technical fouls.

Daniel Kickert led the Boomers with 20 points while Julian Khazzouh weighed in with 16 and Aron Baynes 12.

Sun Yu was China’s leading scorer with 12 points.

Australia and China will meet in Group B at the Olympics.

Australia coach Brett Brown has only just joined the team after the San Antonio Spurs' 4-2 defeat to Oklahoma City in the NBA Western Conference Finals.

Brown, an assistant coach of the Spurs, said of Australia: “I think it’s a great way to end this early camp to get three consecutive wins against a very aggressive team, and for me personally to come back and see our guys again and see them play our structure again.

"It's been a good early period to get ready for such an important time-frame coming with London, so for me to start the campaign and preparation, it's been a positive."

Australia's starting point guard Pat Mills, a player with the San Antonio Spurs, has yet to join the team but will be with the side at their camp in Melbourne before the team plays Greece in three games known as the Farewell Series at the end of June.

It will be the last time for the Australians to see their team on home soil before the London Games.
