ALEXANDRIA, Australia (Basketball Australia) - Lorraine Landon has been honoured with Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for services to basketball. The Medal rewards Service worthy of particular recognition.

Landon currently chairs FIBA's Women’s Basketball Commission, while in Australia she has performed a great number of key roles within the National Federation, currently serving as General Manager, a role she has performed for over a decade.

"I think from my point of view it's a wonderful recognition of a long time in the sport," Landon said.

"But also recognition for our sport itself, which is very important to me, that our sport is recognised for the great game that it is," she added.
