Australia had beaten Angola two days previously in the early rounds but found Angola to be in much more aggressive mood as they shot to a 16-5 lead.
By the end of the first quarter they were 24-8 ahead.
Boomers coach Brett Brown tried a smaller line-up before half-time and saw his side close to within 10, but they could not get any closer and Angola began to pull away again towards the end.
Carlos Morais led Angola with 26 points while Joaquim Gomes added 21.
Mark Worthington led Australia with 11 while Luke Shenscher, Hugh Greenwood and Jesse Wagstaff had 10 each.
