U18 standout Yeo JunSeok to provide youthful energy for Korea in final window

SEOUL (Korea) - Korea has announced their 12-player roster for the upcoming third and final window of the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers.
The lineup includes familiar faces of Korea basketball at the senior national team level with a fresh injection of youth.

Five players that played in the first window of the Qualifiers for Korea return to the roster namely Heo Hoon, Kim JongKyum and Lee SeoungKyun. Ra Guna is also listed on the team, after having recovered from an injury that kept him out for Korea’s first two games of the Qualifiers.
U18 Asian Championship 2018 standout Yeo Junseok has also been named to the senior national team for the first time.
Korea are currently undefeated with a 2-0 record in Group A of the Asia Cup Qualifiers. They have four scheduled games to play in the final window which will be played from February 18-22.
There are 24 teams competing in the FIBA Asia Cup 2021 Qualifiers. Once the three windows of the Qualifiers conclude, the top two teams in each group will qualify directly to Asia Cup 2021. The six last-placed teams in each group are eliminated.
Meanwhile, the six third-placed teams in each group will then play in a separate qualifying tournament. Teams will be placed into two different groups of three teams. The top two teams of those respective groups will then lock in their spots at Asia Cup 2021, completing the 16-team roster who will also compete in the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023 Asian Qualifiers.
Currently, Bahrain and Lebanon have already qualified for FIBA Asia Cup 2021 through the Qualifiers. Indonesia are also already qualified as the confirmed hosts of FIBA Asia Cup 2021.
