CHENZHOU (FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2016) - Samuel Young lit up Chenzhou-Hunan by scoring 50 points as Al Ahli (UAE) defeated Barsy Atyrau of Kazakhstan on Day 1 in the FIBA Asia Champions Cup 2016.

The 2.05m forward was unstoppable in the first game of the entire tournament. He was scoring from all over the floor and was just on fire all throughout. Young hit six three-pointers in the game and also missed just two of ten free throws. He also contributed in other areas, grabbing 8 rebounds and handing out 3 assists.

Very few players can reach 50 points in a basketball game, especially at this level where many of the best players from the continent have gathered. Young will be immortalized in the annals of Asian basketball, and he will certainly be a marked man as the team goes on to try and qualify for the Quarter-Finals.
