    ARG/URU - Argentina beats Uruguay and gets sixth straight win:

    SAN JUAN (2009 FIBA Americas Championship) - Argentina defeated Uruguay 73-66 to win their sixth straight game at the FIBA Americas Championship played at Coliseo Roberto Clemente.     SAN JUAN (2009 FIBA Americas Championship) - Argentina defeated Uruguay 73-66 to win their sixth straight game at the FIBA Americas Championship played at Coliseo Roberto Clemente.

    At the end of the Quarterfinals, Argentina has a 6-1 record and will wait for the game between Brazil and Puerto Rico to see who will they play in the semifinals tomorrow.

    Luis Scola played only in the second half and led the Argentineans with 19 points and the second best scorer was Leo Gutierrez who netted 12.

    Uruguay started with a 4-0 lead with 9:11 left but scored only two points after that and lost the first ten minutes 22-6.

    In the second quarter Argentina continued to dominate led by Andres Pelussi and Diego Garcia who scored 7 points each.

    Scola and Pablo Prigioni entered in the third quarter and kept Argentina on top 59-46.

    Uruguay came back between the third and final quarter with a 12-0 run that finished with a dunk by Esteban Batista with 6:44 left to be down 59-55. Scola along with Leo Gutierrez sank the Uruguayans once more to keep rolling.

    Esteban Batista led Uruguay with 20 points and 10 rebounds while guard Martin Osimani had 10. Leandro Garcia Morales didn't play because of a right hand injury.
