ARG - Triple tie at top

BUENOS AIRES (Liga Nacional) - There’s a three-way tie at the top of Argentina’s Liga Nacional after Quimsa’s narrow victory over Deportivo Libertad by 72-70 in the league’s North Zone.

The win means that both teams join Juventud Sionista at the top with 11 points, but have played a game extra.

Julio Mazzaro, was the top-scorer of the game, weighing in with 23 points for Quimsa, while Andres Pelussi’s 18 points and nine rebounds were in vein for the hosts.

The game though was tight throughout with the visitors starting off better in the first two periods, but the home team storming back in the third quarter to have a two point advantage going into the final quarter.

But a strong finish saw the Quimsa out score the home team by 21-17 to claim the honours and improve their season record to 4-3 for the season.
