CORRIENTES (Liga Nacional) – Regatas Corrientes, who just won the FIBA Americas League in Mexico, have signed one of the players they went up against at the Final Four in American Lou Roe.
The 38-year-old, who spent the majority of his professional career in Spain, is perhaps best known in America as a star at the University of Massachusetts.
Roe had been on the books of Final Four hosts Halcones UV Xalapa and averaged 18 points and 9.3 rebounds per game in the FIBA Americas League.
At Regatas, he will be alongside one of his former teammates at Murcia in Spain, Federico Kammerichs.
Kammerichs captured bronze with Argentina at the 2008 Olympics and also played at last year’s FIBA World Championship in Turkey.
He was named MVP of the FIBA Americas League Final Four.
