    ARG - Narvarte names preliminary U18 squad

    BUENOS AIRES (FIBA Americas U18 Championship) - Argentina coach Guillermo Narvarte has named a 31-man party of players who he wants to assess ahead of the FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship

    BUENOS AIRES (FIBA Americas U18 Championship) - Argentina coach Guillermo Narvarte has named a 31-man party of players who he wants to assess ahead of the FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship.

    He had initially planned to name a 20-man training squad to meet next month but the strength of players born in 1988 and 1989 has prompted him to expand the number of players he wants to have a look ahead.

    The squad includes a string of starlets who won the South American Championships at youth (under-17) and cadet (under-16) levels last year.

    Twenty-one members of the squad will train on May 12 and 13, with the other 10 joining them for further sessions in Buenos Aires on May 23-28, June 1-6 and June 10-17.
