ARG - Li-ning becomes the official apparel provider for Argentina

BUENOS AIRES (National Team) - "If the Spanish team felt comfortable wearing Li-ning, I think our team would feel the same." said the head coach of Argentine Men's basketball national team Sergio Hernandez.

On Jan 11th, 2007 in Beijing, Chinese sports brand Li-ning Sports GOODS CO. L.T.D. held a press conference announcing their official partnership with the Basketball Confederation of Argentina (CABB).

From now on, Li-ning will be the official apparel provider for both male and female basketball national teams of Argentina at all ages. After sponsoring the gold medalist at FIBA 2006 World Basketball Championships--Spain, Li-ning will also start offering sports apparel to the defending men's basketball champion in 2004 Olympics--Argentina.

The Argentine basketball national team at all ages will start wearing Li-ning branded game apparel in all upcoming FIBA international competitions. And Li-ning's partnership with Argentina will last at least until 2012 Olympics in London.

At the press conference, vice manager of Li-ning's brand marketing department Mr. Wu Weiguo said, "Signing with world champion Argentina is one of the most important steps in our globalization plan.

It also means Li-ning's professional sports apparel is recognized by the top teams in the world."

The president and secretary general of the Basketball Confederation of Argentina Mr. Horacio Muratore and Mr. Vicente Castellano were also present at the press conference.

Mr. Castellano said, "Li-ning's slogan of 'Anything Is Possible' fits the spirit of Argentine basketball perfectly. The outstanding performance of Li-ning's products in the basketball world attracted our attention. We have confidence in our future cooperation with Li-ning."
