SAN ANTONIO (2010 FIBA World Championship) - Herb Rudoy, the agent representing Argentina guard Manu Ginobili, has quashed rumours that his client could play for Real Madrid next season.

Spanish newspapers reported that Real were willing to pay Ginobili $13.5 million to return to Europe.

But Rudoy told San Antonio local network WOAI that there was no truth to the reports emanating from the old continent.

"I don't know who reported that, but they didn't talk to me," he said. "Manu will finish his career in the NBA."

Ginobili's representative went on to say that in fact the free-agent-to-be intends on ending his playing career in the NBA - ideally staying with the Spurs.

"Manu wants to finish his career as a Spur," he added.

Rudoy explained that he is in contact with Spurs general manager R.C. Buford but no contract extension was imminent.

"There's nothing new going on there. I talk to R.C. all the time. He is in Europe right now and when he comes back I am sure we will talk again."

Ginobili is set to make $10.7 million in the final year of a deal he signed with the Spurs back in 2004.
