    ARG - Boca Juniors, Ben Hur win in Argentina

    SAN NICOLAS (Liga Nacional) - Boca Juniors emerged triumphant after a hard game at rock-bottom Belgrano to remain hot on the heels of Liga Nacional leaders Penarol. Boca prevailed 68-66 in San Nicolas, with Martin Leiva scoring 21 points and grabbing 13 rebounds

    SAN NICOLAS (Liga Nacional) - Boca Juniors emerged triumphant after a hard game at rock-bottom Belgrano to remain hot on the heels of Liga Nacional leaders Penarol.

    Boca prevailed 68-66 in San Nicolas, with Martin Leiva scoring 21 points and grabbing 13 rebounds.

    Jason Keep netted 17 points and hauled in 16 rebounds in a losing cause.

    Belgrano fell behind 20-12 by the end of the first quarter but fought hard and closed to within 35-31 at half-time.

    Boca then held on as Belgrano kept the game close until the end.

    Leiva was outstanding, making 10 of his 15 shots from the floor. He also came up with three steals.

    Gustavo Orona was terrific in support, burying four of six shots from three-point range on his way to 14 points.

    Argentina national team player Leonardo Gutierrez also made four three-balls and finished with 16 points and seven rebounds.

    Ben Hur won 81-74 over Ciclista Juninense after an incredibly bad second quarter for the losing team.

    Ciclista were outscored 22-7 in that period and never recovered.

    William McFarlan had 26 points on eight of 11 shooting from the floor, and 10 of 13 at the charity stripe.

    Lucas Picarelli wreaked havoc from three-point range, making four of his five attempts and finishing the game with 19 points.
