JUNIN (Liga Nacional) - Defending champions Ben Hur reached the Liga Nacional semi-finals with a 67-63 victory over Ciclista Juninense to complete a 3-0 series win.
Carlos Legaria cut loose in the second half with 15 points for Ben Hur, although his team-mate, Argentina national team player Leonardo Gutierrez, struggled for form and missed six three-pointers.
The one bright note for Ciclista was Eduardo Dominr reaching the 10,000 points barrier in the league but it was not enough to avert defeat.
In the other game Central Entrerriano narrowly defeated Atenas 84-82 to breathe some life into the series as they trail Atenas 2-1.
Atenas` Gabriel Mikulas top-scored in the game with 28 points, while team-mate Timothy Jones weighed in with 17 points.
Libertad spurned their chance to progress into the semi-final as they lost against Regatas 78-75 to leave that series level at 2-2.
Libertad`s Roberto Lopez had 25 points but Clarence Robinson and Gustavo Orona were decisive for Regatas with 19 points each. Robinson also claimed 11 rebounds.
Regatas had trailed 2-0 in the series but they beat Libertad 90-89 on Wednesday and will now be looking to join Ben Hur in the last four.
Boca Juniors won 86-74 in the other quarter-final but still trail Gimnasia 2-1 in that tie.
