ARG - Atenas name Bualo new coach

CORDOBA (Liga Nacional) - Liga Nacional outfit Atenas have appointed Carlos Bualo as their new head coach.
 
Bualo, 48, will arrive later on Thursday to put pen to paper on the deal after his appointment was confirmed in a statement on the club's official website, www.atenas.com.ar.
 
"Negotiations with Carlos Bualo has been successful and he becomes our new head coach from now on," the statement said.
 
Bualo led Libertad to the Liga Sudamericana title in May and also guided Independiente General Pico to the Liga Nacional Finals in the 1998/99 season, where his side lost 4-3 to Atenas.
 
He was named the 2002/03 Coach of the Season when in charge of Pico FC.
 
Bualo will have a difficult task to help Atenas improve on a very disappointing campaign so far in this season’s Liga Nacional.

The club has laboured to its worst ever start to a campaign, with a 1-6 record and six defeats in a row.
 
On Wednesday night the Cordoba-based giants went bottom of the Northern Division standings after an 81-71 home loss to Libertad.
