This came after a busy month of March during which the Argentinians played friendly games against this summer's tournament host, Chile, beating them 63-61 and 65-38.

They then competed in a quadrangular tournament where they got the better of Chile's U19 and U23 teams and lost to Brazil.

This summer, Argentina will open their campaign in Group B, taking on Japan, Russia and the United States.
