Finally, Team Argentina won the Super 4 Tournament, which took place in the city of Santa Fe. It took a lot to defeat Spain, but in the last quarter the Argentinean turned the game around, winning the game by a margin of 13 points. Argentina remains undefeated on their way to the FIBA Americas Championship in Las Vegas; which qualifies the teams that arrive in first, and second, place to the 2008 Olympic Game in Beijing.

During the first quarter, Spain displayed great quality, even though they brought their B team to Argentina. The Argentineans faced problems with their defense, losing the first half, 52-39. In the second half, Scola and Delfino carry the weight of the offensive attack, finally taking it home, with a great four-quarter effort. For the Argentineans, Porta scored 10 points, and Leo Gutierrez, 13.

On Friday, Team Argentina will have another exhibition game, this time against Team Canada, who was also present in the “Super 4”.
