    MADRID (FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament for Women) - Argentina star Carolina Sanchez suffered a a suspected broken nose and will not play in her country's game against Angola at the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament on Tuesday.

    The South Americans, already playing without star center Gisela Vega in this event, will now miss the spirited Sanchez who was nearly unstoppable in the first half against the Czechs, scoring 18 points.

    She got hurt early in the second half and returned to the bench with a bandaged nose.

    The Czechs pulled away for a 77-55 triumph.

    Argentina's coach Eduardo Pinto said: "Carolina needs to have an examination to know the severity of the injury and could be out for the rest of the tournament."
