    ARG - Argentina announces squad for Tuto Marchand Cup and FIBA Americas Championship:

    BUENOS AIRES (2009 FIBA Americas Championship) - Argentinean national team head coach, Sergio Hernandez, announced the players that will be in the Marchand Continental Cup and the FIBA Americas Championship, both scheduled to be played in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

    Guard Pablo Prigioni, who just signed with Real Madrid, will join the Argentinean team on Monday in Puerto Rico. The national team departed to Mexico where they will train in the capital and play against the Mexicans on August 16.

    Argentinean national team:

    Point guards: Juan Pablo Cantero (Atenas de Córdoba) and Pablo Prigioni.
    Shooting guards: Paolo Quinteros (CAI Zaragoza, Spain) and Diego García (Burgos, Spain).
    Small Forwards: Sebastián Matías Sandes (Fuenlabrada, Spain) and Federico Kammerichs (Regatas Corrientes).
    Power forwards: Luis Scola (Houston Rockets, NBA), Leonardo Gutiérrez (Peñarol de Mar del Plata), Leonardo Mainoldi (Fuenlabrada, Spain) and Andrés Pelussi (Libertad de Sunchales).
    Centers: Román González (Quimsa de Santiago del Estero) and Juan Pedro Gutiérrez.

    Juan Manuel Fernandez (Temple, NCAA) will play in Mexico and travel to Puerto Rico as an invited player.

    Head coach: Sergio Hernández.
    Assistants: Gonzalo García and Nicolás Casalánguida.
