DEQING (China) – Antwerp (BEL) captured their first FIBA 3x3 World Tour stop win of 2026, defeating Ub (SRB) 21-17 in a physical Final to cap a memorable weekend of 3x3 basketball in Deqing.
Antwerp had to navigate a challenging knockout path to reach the Final, edging Miami (USA) 21-18 in the Quarter-Finals before dismantling Vienna (AUT) 21-10 in the Semi-Finals. They then held their nerve in a back-and-forth championship game against Ub to finally get their hands on a World Tour stop title this season.
Breaking Through
Antwerp opened the knockout phase with a hard-fought 21-18 win over Miami, racing out to a 6-0 lead before seeing their advantage disappear as Miami tied the game at 18-18 late. Jonas Foerts then delivered a clutch two-pointer before Vic Van Oosterwyck sealed the win from the free-throw line. Antwerp were more dominant against Vienna in the Semi-Final, jumping out to an 8-2 lead and cruising to a 21-10 victory behind 10 points from Dennis Donkor to book their first World Tour Final of the season.
The Final against Ub was a back-and-forth battle, with neither side able to pull away until Antwerp edged ahead 15-13 on another Foerts two-pointer. The Belgians stretched their lead to 20-15 before Ub rallied to 20-17, but a foul on Foerts sent him to the line, where he calmly finished the job for a 21-17 victory. Donkor led Antwerp with eight points as they captured their first FIBA 3x3 World Tour stop win of 2026.
Donkor Named MVP
Donkor was the driving force behind Antwerp's breakthrough and was named MVP of FIBA 3x3 World Tour Deqing 2026 after putting together the tournament's top individual performance.
The Antwerp star finished with a 41.9 Player Value, the highest mark in the tournament, while his 42 total points and 16 two-pointers also led the field. His impact was evident throughout the knockout phase, producing eight points against Miami, 10 against Vienna and eight more in the championship game against Ub.
Donkor's all-around production helped Antwerp turn a difficult road through the knockout phase into their first World Tour title of the year.
Side Events
Toni Blazan of Vienna won the Shootout Contest presented by Wilson, scoring 14 points to claim the title.
The Dunk Contest presented by Deqing was won by Ye Jianlin, adding another highlight to a packed weekend of 3x3 basketball in the host city.
Special Weekend for Deqing
The FIBA 3x3 World Tour's return to Deqing provided a major 3x3 basketball weekend in one of China's established 3x3 hotbeds.
The event also coincided with the Chinese Moon Festival (Mid-Autumn Festival), adding an extra layer of significance to a weekend that brought top-level 3x3 basketball action to the city.
Deqing hosted the World Tour for the second consecutive year, continuing its growing connection with the sport and its local 3x3 basketball community.

For Antwerp, however, Deqing marks a breakthrough moment: after reaching the Final for the first time this season, they finally completed the job and lifted their first FIBA 3x3 World Tour banner of 2026.
