ABIDJAN (Cote d'Ivoire) - The FIBA Regional Office Africa has confirmed that Angola, Cameroon and Senegal will host the third window of the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup African Qualifiers.
This decision was ratified at the FIBA Regional Office Africa Board meeting held in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire, on 15 April.
Window 3 of the qualifiers will take place from 2–5 July in Angola, Cameroon, and Senegal.
This follows the conclusion of Window 2 of the World Cup qualifiers, which took place in Alexandria, Egypt, and Dakar, Senegal, in February 2026.
Group A, consisting of Cameroon, Cape Verde, Libya and South Sudan, will be held in Cameroon.
Group B, comprising Côte d'Ivoire, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Madagascar and Senegal, will be played in Senegal.
Groups C and D, comprising Guinea, Tunisia, Nigeria and Rwanda and Angola, Egypt, Mali and Uganda respectively, will be played in Angola.
The host countries for Window 4 of the 2027 FIBA Basketball World Cup, which will take place from 27 to 30 August 2026, will be announced at a later date, following the Board's decision to extend the application deadline to 15 May 2026.
