    1º de Agosto retained on Monday the title of the Angola Cup in the senior ladies basketball category, although they lost to Interclube by 65-73, in a second leg match of the finals played at pavilion nº2 of Cidadela Sports Stadium, here, with protest by officials of the Interior Ministry's club.

    After having beat the national champions by an eight-point difference (54-46) in the first leg, at 28 de Fevereiro pavilion, 1º de Agosto, although in disadvantage on Monday's match, with the same difference, benefited from validation criteria of the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).

    With the win, in this second leg, Interclube drew the competition, but according to the secretary general of the Angolan Basketball Federation (FAB), Tony Sofrimento, since the situation is not included in the regulations of his institution, they resorted to the international organ that includes decision method (positive scores) by division.

    Thus, the players of coach Aníbal Moreira, besides the defeat, maintain the title in their club, even with great contradictions by members of Interclube, who were mostly present at the venue.

    The final match was watched, among others personalities, by the chairman of the Angolan Basketball Federation (FAB), Gustavo da Conceição who is also the head of the Angolan Olympic Committee (COA).
