HANNING (Stankovic Cup/2011 FIBA Africa Championship) - The Angolan senior male team of basketball beat Monday, China (67-64), in a match counting for the first day of Borislav Stankovic Cup, which takes place from 1st to 4th August in the Chinese city of Hanning.
At the half, the Angolans already led by 31-26.
The Angolan basketball team, which is preparing for Afrobakset2011 that will be held in Madagascar, from August 17 to 28, will face the second day Australia and then Serbia, Russia and New Zealand.
This competition is run annually in China since 2005 in honor of Serb Borislav Stankovic, secretary general emeritus of FIBA, through its contribution to the development of basketball throughout the world.
Angola has won the 2008 edition of Borislav Stankovic Cup.
